International Seminar on communication of the safety of geological disposal was held
On June 2, 2016, NUMO held an international seminar on communication of the safety of geological disposal, inviting six experienced international experts in the field of deep geological disposal, with about 150 people of audience. The experts made short presentations on the roles of technical experts in the safety communication in each country or in the international technical community. In the panel discussion focusing both on the pre- and post-closure safety of geological disposal, opinions on how such scientific/technical issues should be communicated were exchanged.
